First time feeding my snake

Hey guys, so I'm attempting to feed my girl a F/T fuzzy rat but she didn't seem very interested. I couldn't even really get her to look at or smell it. I left the rat in the cage in a small bowl, is that fine to do? I want to see if she'll eat it without me being in the room.

Yeah leaving a F/T in there is fine. Don't forget about it tho or your gonna be the one suffering. Decomposing rat doesn't smell pleasant lol
