One thing to think about whether you cut or not.....

The last 3 seasons I have run into this at least once a year- wrapped cord. First clutch cut on day 55 (I was patient and didn't cut on day 52-53 like i usually do).

This little Firefly may not have made it had I not cut, but the cord was unwrapped safely without having any other interventions and the little bugger is doing fine

Man! Good on you for solving the problem before there was one.

    That firefly is very pretty!

Do you mind telling us what exactly you had to do to get the little one untangled? Was it as simple as removing the snake and untangling? Or did you have to cut the sack?

Thank you for posting stuff like this so guys like me are prepared when it happens!

Yes, this is the one thing that scares me about breeding. I will be having my very first breeding season next year and I have always wondered if I should cut the eggs or not. I have read tutorials all over the internet to try to prepare for this type of thing but it still makes me nervous.
