I'd wait a week. New snakes need time to get adjusted. My advice is wait a week solid. No handling and no cage disturbance except for changing water. At night be sure the room is black (save for a heat light if necessary that is outside the snakes visual spectrum... i.e. red bulb, ceramic, or night bulb). BP's are noctournal as I'm sure you know and it helps them get settled if you leave the room dark during the night especially during adjustment period. So in the end.... no handling for at least a week, don't try to feed for at least a week, don't disturb the cage or day/night cycle. Just out of curiousity what thawing method are you using?
