It kind of looks like a crush injury.
I had a hatchling get hurt ( best guess he jammed himself between the hide and the roof of his tub );
This happened in January 2009. Here is a picture from May 2009;
I still have him and he looks fat and normal in every way - though I can still feel the injury if I probe gently.
