Whew! Well folks, I understand it has been a while but life has been NUTS around my neck of the woods. It shall settle down though very soon... as I think I said before my computer got toasted and my new one should be totally complete and up and running by mid august. Plus I will have MUCH more down time then and thus time to post. Anyways on to the subject of this post. Check out my NEW Animal Plastics Cage!!!

I have set up the cage with a day/night cycle using conventional house timers. The light inside the cage came with one of those sunlight bulbs - I figured since it came with the installed fixture it can't hurt right? Even though BP's don't really need UVB. My belly heat (routed into cage) is controlled by a BAH (Big Apple Herp)1000 Thermostat. Aside from that I just have a 15watt night bulb (the flourescent looking iridecent bulb kind - screw in long bulb I guess you could say. The doors now are acrylic because AP outsources glass and they are going to send me the glass once they get it in. My little Icculus has alread eaten in his new enclosure anyways.. onto the pics!!

outside/top view of new cage (measures 36 long 14 or so high and 18 deep [inches])

Here it is from the left side

    Here from the right

    Here from the center

I LOVE IT!!! I'll post in the inquiry section soon. Enjoy!

    Rat Breeding Q

    It rocks doesn't it???
Man that cage sure looks somewhat familiar
I should have gotten the light inside.
Hope your bp likes it as much as mine does.

Hey do you have your cage sitting right on top of the table or do you have it up a little???
I have the routed heat also and I have mine up about 1/4" on those little sticky feet.

    Nice set up, Jonah!

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.
