    Check out its eyes now or in a day or two. They will be clouded with a blueish tint to it. They will stay like that for a few days, and during this time it is important for you to keep the humidity around 65% in the cage. After a few days of being cloudy, its eyes will clear. Expect him to shed within a day or so after that.

    pink belly---->clouded eyes----->clear eyes----->shed

    It should be okay to hold him until his eyes cloud over. After that, they get a little skittish and nervous.
