cage size
Right now, Velvet, white phase albino retic, is in a 20 gal tank. Tomorrow is the PGH Reptile Show and I'm going. I seem to remember a couple of the regular venders sell cages, not sure what brand. What size would be best to look into, if I don't find anything tomorrow I'll go online and order one, I was looking at the 4ft cages, would that be too big? She a little noodle right now, but I know she'll grow fast. I don't want to overwhelm her by putting her in a too-large enclosure. Or would a 6ft be better? Thoughts? Opinions? Buellor? Ferris Buellor? **cough cough** sorry, couldn't resist.

Most large constrictors will do fine in a 6x3x18" enclosure. That's going to be a pretty big investment. This is what I would do provided she is of relatively small size (adult BP)
CB70 sized tub / enclosure for now
From there I would switch to something like the Iris VE-175 tub (make sure the tubs are properly secured)
And then after that I would make the jump to an adult sized PVC enclosure.

Re: cage size
Thank you very much. I wrote that down. My husband, who builds guitars, informs me that he'll build a big enclosure for her, when she gets bigger, so in the meantime...
She's smaller than my big bps atm. Fwiw here are a couple pics just to she her size; and that adorable face of hers!

I would say she is not too terribly small for a CB70 sized enclosure at that size. Just make sure she has places to hide.
The main reason I mention the tubs is purely from an economical standpoint, you don't want to be spending that much money on what will essentially be temporary caging.

Pretty White Phase Albino
For a male retic, a 6'x3'x2' should be good. i used one of the 4ft xmas tree tub when my male grew out of the 20 gal and 40 gal. he grew pretty fast too so it would be good to get his large enclosure when you can, my boy was just shy of 11 feet within a year xD while my 2 year old female burm was still just 8ft or so lol they have an epic growth rate, i was surprised! i had built 2 8'x3'2' cages for both my retic and female burm, an 8ft cage would be good for female retics though, some appreciate the extra space and it would make a nice display piece too. i just got me a sunfire hatchling and am currently using a 28 quart tub for him while hes in quarantine and seems fine in one that size for now.
