Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.
How long have you had your BP? While they are "settling in" and getting acclimated to their new home, they are quite prone to spending inordinately long amounts of time in their "hides". They're in a new situation and unsure about their safety, so their instinct is to sit tight in what feels like a safe spot and watch what goes on around them.
Even once they're fully used to their home, BP's are not exactly a "high energy" snake. After eating, expect them to only move from the warm spot to a cooler spot as they attempt to regulate their temperature for optimal digestion. In my experience, when a BP is prowling a lot, it usually means they're feeling hungry and they're looking for prey.
We do not quit playing because we grow old; we grow old because we quit playing.
