It is more ethical, if you disagree with that you're either stubborn, or you don't watch many snakes eat.. Keep in mind I am not some animal rights activist screaming that the mouse is in pain blah blah blah, and I realize everyone's opinion differs, but why get snide with me when there's 2 very simple facts staring you in the face.
1. Ethics goes both ways, yes the snake evolved to hunt and kill, but so did humans, and believe me i enjoy to hunt, but I really appreciate not having to go through the trouble of the hunt every time, and there's a much less likelihood of that deer injuring me as there is a big toothed rat taking a chunk out of my snake. In the wild every single hunt can end badly for the snake, that's why it's the wild, and captivity is captivity.
2. This one's a little more of a personal belief, but if I were going to be eaten by a large constricter, call my crazy but I would much rather get a night night shot, be out in a minute, and placed in the freezer. Rather than bwing alive and hen the giant serpent decides to bite me, coil me, crush my lungs by compresdion (don't sound quick to me) then finally eat me. Personally, this sounds much more humane to me.
Furthermore I can only point out in my original post I really did NOT want this to be a ft vs live debate, because personally I Dont care what you feed your snake, it's YOUR snake and truthfully I do see some benefits to live. This was more of a "did a pet shop employee really just say a snake eating food was cruelty????" Thread...
