Proper weight for 9 month old male
Well Walter didn't eat for me last night and I figured I'd finally get a scale and weigh him just in case the knucklehead keeps this up a while. He was 225gms, is this pretty decent for his age?

There is a lot of variable when it comes to weight, weight out of the egg, how fast the animal got started, feeding frequency, prey size, fast etc.
The important is not the number the important is to have an animal that is well proportionate and that is and look healthy.

The thing is, snakes grow by what and how much they are fed. I have a 8 month old who is 198g. This is because he chooses to eat once every two weeks. I offer him food once a week, but he only eats every two weeks. I have a 10 month old female who is 665g. But she eats every 5 days and very willingly. So it really depends.

Thank you, I think he looks pretty good. Chunky but not super fat. Just bums me he was eating so good first 4 feeds then he starts this crap.
I do question if the fuzzy rats I was feeding him were slightly too big and he needs a break. He would only swallow them head first and he got them down but he worked on it.

My 155 gram male gets a rat pup every tuesday. 3 weeks and 3 happy feedings so far. Maybe try a pup a week?
