    Happy day!

Tonight was another feeding night, and first up to get their rat was my lesser bee, Giovanni. He's eaten once since early December, and that only after I left the rat in with him overnight (Gio's wobble is very bad, he only gets f/t for his own safety). He was doing his usual thing, which I've taken to calling his "rain dance", where he twists his head and neck upside down in a continuous circle (this is normal behavior for him), but he stopped and held still with his head upside down when I opened up his tub. I tapped the rat to his chin and Bam! He struck and coiled for the first time in nearly five months and is currently in the process of swallowing it down.

No matter how long your snakes turn their noses up at food, there's always hope that they'll take the next meal. A little patience goes a very long way when it comes to a fasting python, whether it takes a week or many months.

Just felt like sharing, I know a lot of people have been having some feeding problems lately and thought some could use the encouragement.

That's very encouraging! Congrats too btw. My adult male Mojave hasn't eaten for a couple months and no matter what I try he won't eat.

Thank you for your post. I have a non-feeder right now. Its only been a few weeks so not too worried yet but it makes me hopeful for the next feeding!
