Odd my spider is the most picky.
I suspect it has more to do with the traits of the parents or it is a fluke. I know a few zoo staff whom have been selective breeding african Rock pythons for temperament. They hope to have a line of easier to deal with 'rocks. I have personally worked with 4 of the offspring and all 4 are fairly easy to deal with. Not particularly snappy and easily handleable. The parents are both quite calm the male is very calm in fact, the zoo he lives in uses him as hands on animal all the time. It is hard for me to say that there is nothing to temperament passed to offspring. It is a possibility that a good feeder will have offspring that are also good feeders. It is a thought anyway.
