Neosporin is fine assuming you are just dabbing it on with something like a Q-Tip. The regular stuff, NOT the stuff with pain killer in it. I mean I could see it posing a problem if you greased the snake head to butt in it but like I said, put a little on a Q-Tip and just dab the spot to kill any possible germs. Once or twice will be all you really need.
I'm personally super careful when using any human products on or near my snake. I have never had to use neosporin on her before, and I'm personally allergic, so I don't even have it in my home. Bedadine is good, my mom owned a ranch, she said if you use bedadine, water it down so it looks like super weak tea. That stuff is very strong. We used it on horses, and it was sometimes too strong for them.
