I've had cats, dogs (as of today, granted it was an accident), a snake, a bird, a gold fish, a horse, a cow, a pig, a goat (that was weird cause they don't have top front teeth), humans.. I'm sure there are some more in there.

    Re: Snake bites.

Lol my first snake bite was from a baby corn and I laughed at myself for jumping. My BP lashed at me on feeding day once and got me good on the thumb and I've been bitten several times by the BPs at work

I have only had my guy for 3 1/2 weeks and to be quite honest as friendly as he is I am kinda freaked out at the idea of being bit. Everything I have read says its no big deal and all the youtube videos I have seen show that its not that serous but I am still a bit nervous about it. Hopefully I will never have to say "I've been bit and its no big deal" I will take the word of others lol.

As if she read this post. Monty started striking again today. And she looks like she is swollen. (The last 1/3 of her body looks more full than before) she is of breeding age from what I know, but has never had a mate. ::Confused:: can snakes be egg bound without mating?

I've been bit by every snake I've owned at one point in its life. The only exception is Dottie has never bit me but I have to be extra careful with her at feeding time as she has a stronger feed mode than a darn retic You get used it, it doesn't hurt unless its from a big guy. Then you bleed some, cuss some and the snake stares at you. Key is don't yank away if you get tagged or it will make it worse.

Lol, just went over this in my last thread. She already pooped since the last rat. I think she's just fat and angry. I got her a new heat lamp today, paid way more than I should have. Any suggestions on thermostats for uth?

And even in the heat of the moment, take your snakes safety into consideration. (ie, don't throw her across the room). No matter what happens you will be hurt less than your snake.

For a UTH, something like a Hydrofarm would work fine as a 2F+- swing wont really hurt it but if you want to go in style, then its Herpstat all the way set on dimming mode

Lol true about the snakes flying except if you got a 8' BCI girl. You wont be flinging her lol
