Is it ok for a hide box to be see through? Not like glass see through, cause there is a bunch of tupper-wear that I coud use but they are all opaque. Thanks for your time.

i wouldnt use them, the point of a hide box is to make it so the pet wont be able to see you, therefore, you are not there, and he is safe

so, if he can see you looking at him, he just thinks theres some invisible thing around him

try to go to the dollar store

they have a lot of things that you can use

Remember snakes dont have eyelids and depend on a dark place to sleep. BTW cereal boxes make great hides. I use the variety pack boxes for babies and they make tons of other sizes.
    Thanks,

I use kleenex boxes as well as cereal boxes. I definitley wouldnt go with any kind of hide that you could see through. It would cause too much stress on the snake.

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

Ditto what they said, plus coconut fiber hanging plant basket liners are great hides and inexpensive, available at garden stores or sections of larger stores like WalMart.
