I had indoor/outdoor carpet for my iguanas way back when. They don't hold humidity hardly at all and you can safely expect that your snakes new favorite hiding place is going to be underneath it, but I suppose it should work if you can manage those little things. Are you looking at the stiff kind or the more flexible carpet-like kind? The stiff kind is a little harder to clean since it's thicker, but the flexible kind starts to fray and break down around the edges after a few cleanings. Shouldn't be nearly as bad as what I had to deal with since BPs don't have claws, though.
