Idea for a long term project?

I look at ridicously expensive snakes and think "I want to make that." By the time I'm done, the snakes in question might be cheap, but I still like playing with the idea of starting with a few cheap genes, no shortcuts, and breed until I get something really fancy, buying few genes snakes when needed, building a collection, selling and buying as I get closer to my goal.

I'm looking around, but does any snakes come to mind? Banana Mimosa is a example, but I don't like champagne, so maybe that's not the way to. I will also have to figure out the price and amount of clutches needed. I might need to re-learn math, lol.

Obviously, I could end up with 50+ unsellable snakes(small market in Sweden) and nowhere close to my goal. That would be a mayor factor. Don't worry, I can barely afford one snake now, I won't rush out and buy a bunch of snakes on a whim.

I'm also playing with the idea of trying for a really blue snake, but genetics is new to me, I'd have no idea where to start.
