You want a captive bred ball. Wild caught come with parasites both internal and external. and Wild bred are often born with/or soon get parasites as well. Im no expert but this is what I hear. Everybody agrees that Captive Breds are the best way to go.
When you say wild bred, I'm assuming that you are talking about farmed ball pythons...basically gravid females are collected in the wild, and kept captive until the eggs are laid and hatched, then the mother is returned to the wild. These snakes are much less expensive than Captive bred and born pythons but have MANY more problems with feeding and parasites than CBB pythons do.
Never get a wild caught snake if you are a beginner in keeping ball pythons. They are often will not eat and come packed with plenty of parasites. Not to mention their temperment will be much more snippy than a CBB python. Wouldn't you be too if someone took you from your home and locked you in a rubbermaid?
My own personal opinion on WC bp's is simply not to buy them. Supporting the WC trade just diminishes their numbers in the wild and often the snakes don't even survive the journey overseas. Its just overall a bad situation.
Cliff's notes: Dont get a farmed or a WC python. Get CBB, you won't regret it.
