deer antlers or sheds?
Hey all quick question, I have a bunch of antler skull caps and sheds, was wonder if anyone knows if they're safe to put a pile of sheds and a skull cap in my bps tank? What kind of prep would be required?

Should be fine. Although not exactly a natural decoration using antlers from a north american deer in a cage for an African snake, I think it might spruce up a display tank nicely. And they're probably easier to keep clean than wood. I wouldn't think that it would need more than a soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution to make sure there are no nasties on it.

We use my husbands ten point skull with antlers for our bp. S/he likes it. It fits snug so it doesn't tip over or anything.

Ive used them and just washed them with soap and water. I know you can soak them in bleach water overnight as long as you rinse them several times when done.

Glad to see other people have thought about this, too. It saved me some $$ when I realized that I had a nice antler to use instead of expensive driftwood from the pet store.
