    New SD retic

So I got my new SD retic home today and just put him in qt. I took this pick before moving him into his qt tank.

My main question is this he is 6 years old according to the guy I got him from who got him from the breeder. He is over 6 foot and really heavy for a retic. He was being fed piglets fairly regularly. Is there a way to maybe tell what local he is? The breeder got his parents from a guy in Canada and doesn't know the local.

    Re: New SD retic

Here are some more pics of my new SD retic. He's much bigger than the guy said.

From what I can tell he's closer to 8 foot maybe a bit more.

Looks like potentially a Madu or Kaydui - not quite right for a Kalatoa which are the smaller of the locals. But this also resembles some of the 50% crosses I've seen from Kalatoa / Madu which could also be the case - Was the seller for sure on the purity of this male?

You would probably get more responses on The Retic Nation facebook group if you're looking for experienced eyes to give you an idea of what you have, I'm thinking SD cross.

I also wouldn't say pure Kalatoa based on the critters I have seen. He is a very pretty boy though and I love how he irridesces in the sunlight.

    Re: New SD retic

He really is pretty, I'll have to look up the retic nation Facebook a little later. OG SD now that's just fun to say, typo on my end there though. I meant his parents were supposedly pure SD. With SD retics is just hammering them with food going to make them larger?
