My normal bp could care less
I first read when i got my first snake that if your feed sch lined up with the shed cycle to offer. It had also said that rarley do the snakes eat during this time espically during the blue stage. That being said my normal strikes right away and always eats.
I was just wondering if it really is unusal and how your snakes behave during shed

Some will eat, some won't.
I generally just skip them at this point if they're in their shed cycle. Makes it easier for me that way. No guessing if they will or won't eat this time...they won't, simply because there is no food.
It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.

My female is 50/50 on eating during shed, my male pastel is a no go on it, and my male bumblebee does not refuse ever. It all depends on the snake.

I will say 85% to 90% of mine eat while in shed.

I too just skip feeding mine when they are in shed. Not like they are going to starve.

I don't feed them when they're shedding as well but it's definitely a personal choice.

Re: My normal bp could care less
Some of mine will eat, others will not. The ones who will eat during a shed are offered food while the ones who won't will wait until next feeding day.

Re: My normal bp could care less
I think I only ever fed Monty once while she was in shed, and she took it fine. I wouldn't suggest feeding live while they're in shed.

For those with just one snake it lessens the chance of having to throw away a meal by just waiting until after the shed.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
