    Laying eggs average time?

I currently have a female who is now on her 29th day after pre lay shed, ive noticed her laying in a tight coil a few times her belly is pretty bulgy and quite sunken in near her tail I'm just wondering at what point I should be worried if she hasn't laid I know its only 29 days but just a precaution

    Average is

45 days from Ovy to egg laying

About 30 days from pre-lay to egg laying.

I have had females laying as early as 27 days after pre-lay and as long as 52 days after pre-lay.

Watch for her to be twisting herself up a bit. Right before they lay they will sort of squeeze their own bodies like a tube of toothpaste to push the eggs closer to the vent in preparation for laying. If you see that behavior, they usually lay within a day after. Its pretty exciting. Best of luck.

I have a similar question that is relevant to this subject. Will a female that has successfully bred in a previous season drop her clutch earlier than female that is a first timer??

Whether a first timer or a proven breeder time between ovy and egg laying can vary and than there are female that are sharp as a clock each year.
