    Making Purple Passion Calicos?

I was fiddling around with the genetic wizard on WOBP. After coming across (and falling in love with) Purple Passion Calicos, I tried entering my male (Pastel Calico) with a female Purple Passion, thinking that would give me PPC's. It gave me a variety of beautiful morphs... But not the PPC.

I'm confused as to why this pairing couldn't produce that offspring. I can't think of any reason why the female couldn't pass down both mojave and phantom, and the male just the calico. Is there something I'm missing?

Here's the link to the pairing I used:

From what I understand, purple passions, highways and the like, are allelic. I think that's the word, but it means that the purple passion can only add either Mojave or mystic and not both. So while you can get either in the clutch, you can't get a purple passion from her unless the male has a copy of either gene as well. BHB did a snake bytes episode on it, and he explains it a lot better.

    Re: Making Purple Passion Calicos?

The purple passions acts like supers.
Like you breed a super pastel to a normal, all of your offsprings will be pastels. If you breed the pp to a normal, the odds are 50% phantom and 50% mojaves.
You can have chance for the PP calico, if your calico male have mojave or phantom genes too, and breed with a purple passion.
For the easier way, better if you get a purple passion male, and a calico mojave or calico phantom female.
    Sounds great future project

Hmm, okay. So it's kind of like how you can make a BEL using any combination of butter, lesser and mojave? (1 mojave gene + 1 butter gene = BEL for example)

So if this works the same way, then these would all be the same morph (visually), correct?
    - Super phantom
    - Super mystic
    - Phantom/mystic
    - Phantom/mojave
    - Mojave/mystic

However, super Mojaves are BEL's... Confusing. Haha

Phantom and Mystic are two lines of the same gene and part of the Blue Eyed Leucustic complex.

    So:
    -Super Phantom
    -Super Mystic
    -Mystic/Phantom
    Are the same.

    And
    -Mojave/Phantom = Purple Passion
    -Mojave/Mystic = Mystic Potion
    Are the same.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, they are in the same complex.

The Super phantom, Super mystic and Phantom/mystic are regularly darker with yellower stripe, and they have more color contrast than the potions.

If you breed it to a normal I believe you will get all phantom or all Mojave and no normals and no purple passions i think.
