    need some help please!

    ok, first let me say sorry if this is in wrong thread. I only have one snake (BP obviously) got it off someone who had him since birth, he's 5 years old and about 5' long. My wife and I had him out and letting him hang around, but we noticed something odd on his tail.. tried to do a bit of research and I think maybe is a maggot? but it's darker than when I know a regular maggot it..

    It's just a spur, it's a totally natural part of his body (most have two, but sometimes I guess one might fall off?). You scared me pretty good reading that, though xD

    It's a spur - all bp's have two of them, one either side of the vent.

    Most of it is made up of unshed skin so the other one might only look like a tiny white version if the cap of skin has come off.

    7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.
