    You can design your rack to have either back heat or belly heat, but the belly heat is usually preferred in the hobby to help aid in their digestion. If your tubs rest on the bottom of the shelf instead of being suspended, opening and closing the tubs can eventually wear out heat tape. Design things to keep in mind!
