    New Arrival!! 0.1 Pied

    She's here! She's here! She's here!!!

FedEx was almost two hours late on delivering her this morning. I called and chewed them out, and within 10 minutes of my phone call the driver appeared at my door. Funny how that works.

Anyway, she arrived safe and sound. She was packaged beautifully, and very eager to come out! She's now settling in, and getting acquainted with her new tub. She's already acting hungry, so I'm gonna try offering her a hopper tomorrow when I feed everybody else and see if she bites!

So, without further ado, her she is! Joule, my 0.1 Pied produced by Clay Tromblay at Red Carpet Reptiles from a Mojave Pied x Pied pairing!

Not the best pics, but she just wouldn't sit still! I will get better pics sometime next week after she has shed and eaten.

I can't believe she's finally here!! I just want to squeeze and love her tiny snake face. Darn that waiting period!!

    She looks great, absolutely beautiful!

I'm proud of you for calling a FedEx. The driver was probably trying to run an efficient route instead of looking out for a live animal.

    Thanks guys.

Yeah, that's more or less what I told them. I informed her that it was a LIVE ANIMAL and that Joe Shmo's headphones he ordered or whatever could wait a little longer than this animal could for delivery. I also paid for priority overnight shipping to arrive by 10:30 am, not 1 pm. Anyway, it worked out.

It's a good thing she arrived when she did too, because about 10 minutes later the police had my road blocked off and had brought the SWAT team in to deal with a suicidal neighbor down the street. Apparently that's what they we're dealing with anyway. I Find it hard to believe you need SWAT for that. But anyway, it was a pretty eventful afternoon. Ten minutes made all the difference in my getting her.

    Update on the new arrival!

I'm astonished at her feeding response, so I just felt the need to share!

She arrived on Tuesday, and took a small hopper Wednesday. That was the earliest I've had a snake eat after shipping. But that small hopper wasn't enough. She's been acting hungry the past couple days. So I picked her up a large hopper this time. She grabbed it before it hit the floor of her tub. She's voracious and I love it!! At this rate, she'll put on weight in no time! A happy fact since she was smaller than her siblings.

Wow, great timing on your part!

As far as SWAT, I think it's a combination of a few things: you never know what a true suicidial is going to do, as far as injuring others. And, SWAT doesn't get out to play much. Good excuse for them to exercise.
Also SWAT snipers have been known to make shots to PREVENT deaths.

Well, I could see that I guess. It was real life crime drama for sure though. Lol. And all I could think about was finishing my degree so I can work with Law Enforcement. Very exciting.

But not as exciting as this pied! Lol. She is a little on the skinny side, so her eating so well so quickly is terribly exciting. She was a slow starter as far as feeding goes, so this is great. Even the breeder is suprised at her feeding response. Thank goodness for good eaters.

I can't wait to handle her and take more pictures. Better pictures. In fact, I really need to do a whole collection update.
