I wanted to add to my post. Animals are on a scale of emotional attachment for me. Dogs, cats, horses ect are on the top. On the bottom are ants, roaches, rats ect. I slide my snakes into a four square foot tub in my basement for there whole life. Not exactly "humane". I gladely kill hundreds of rats a year to feed them. To me ball pythons are in the middle somewhere on attachment, but i would never spend hundreds of dollars on a $50 snake.
