    DIY Rack idea/help

    Hi, Im new to forum but have been keeping BPs for 2 years and currently have 5 being kept in Vivariums which is taking up a lot of space. space which i dont really have.

    So ive been thinking about making my own rack system for them and i have come up with an idea which i have tried to illustrate below.

    the idea i have in my head was to have a rack that can hold 6 70Litre RUBs(70cm/44cm/23cm) and on each shelf to have a space at the back to insulate and direct heat towards the RUB using polystyrene or something similar which may not be necessary if i use heat mats instead of heat cable.

    by doing this it also leaves a gap at the front half for the air to circulate.

    so i have a few questions for you;
    What do you think?
    What would be best heat mats or heat cables?
    Should i stick with vivariums?(i have a few 3ft and 2ft ones currently)
    When regulating temperature should i use the one thermostat or 1 for every 2/3 RUBS?

    Just let me know what you guys think

    Cheers

    The size of the gap is a concern.

    Most people who decide to use heat cable router the shelf instead.
