In your other thread that you should leave it alone for at least a week to get settled in. You were pestering the snake a lot in the other thread and her you are again handling it within a week. I meant a seven day week, not a five day.
If you allow it to settle in and then start slowly teaching the snake you are there to care for it and not hurt it the snake should stop striking. It may also take you getting tagged a few times for the snake to learn that it can not deter or harm you.
Their bite is pretty harmless and is described as brushing against Velcro. Its not a Emerald Tree Boa so you will be fine.
