Would it be safe to buy cyprus mulch from Lowe's or home depot?

I haven't had any issues with the cypress mulch I buy from a local lawn and garden store.

I was given some from Lowes. I found several pieces of plastic in it and a big nail. The shards were big and not very uniform. It also was very dusty. I tossed it and continued using Forest Floor like I always have.

Make sure if you get it that it's 100% cypress and not marked "Blend". The cypress blend mulch is 50% pine and may contain cedar or black walnut as well. It's only 10% cypress.
