Thirteen days!
13 days until my first wedding anniversary.
Damion and I has been friends all our life (literally) when, at age 18, we started dating. We got together on new years, and by Halloween I was pregnant. We had a little girl, got our own place, and got married about two and a good years later. We were both 22.
I couldn't ask for anyone better to spend my days with. He's my everything.

Congrats! Me and mine are coming up on our 10 year. We're also high school sweethearts; started dating at 14 and eventually eloped in Vegas when we turned 18 haha. It just keeps getting better. Being married to your best friend is the greatest thing in the world.

It really is. That's funny, damion always said he wanted to elope; I was against it because I wanted my family to be there. He could care less.
I can't believe it's already been a year!

At the time, my dad was already paying for his (re)marriage, and I knew if we tried to do a traditional thing he would try to pay for it, which he could NOT AFFORD, and doing the whole "traditional wedding" thing was never really something I had much care for. Since neither of us wanted to bother with the particulars and it was like we were pretty much already married at that point anyway, we just got the paper work and preacher to make it official and got on with it!

I hear ya. We went to the courthouse then had a ceremony (spent very little money at all) so our family could celebrate. We had already been living together and every thing, so we just needed the paperwork.
