88-92 seems like a good hot spot, but too high for ambient.

While not not nearly as famous for hunger strikes as BPs, carpets will indulge in winter time fasts, though not usually at this age with warm temps.

I'm guessing once RI is cured, snake will be eating.

i've kept dozens of carpets over the past 20 yrs. they do like to eat!
