    unusual question

try getting her into it. try having you do routine cleanings like when you have to have the water changed have her go get some more water. get her use to seeing it. idk just an idea?

Gradual introduction and patience is the key. Don't force anything on her, but show her cute pics of your snake or point out when he's being active or what have you. Explain that ball pythons' primary defense is balling up rather than striking, and if your snake is nippy, try to get her to have her first experience touching one that isn't. Easy does it.

I have a similar problem with my husband. He's not "afraid" of snakes, but he definitely doesn't like them. I guess they creep him out the way certain spiders and bugs can creep me out, but he won't admit to that. Anyhow...I'm hoping that as he watches my continued interest, he'll eventually want to start sharing that interest with me. But such changes can be a very slow process...at least with him...so I am trying to be very very patient.

I hated snakes. I don't know exactly what did it for me. I guess when I touched him and he wasn't yucky feeling. I got Bob for my hubby even though I was really scared of them. All I can say is educate her as too how great snakes are and she might not be as creeped out. I absolutlely love Bob and will eventually have my own one day. It took me around 7 or 8 years to finally come around, lol. Patience is the key.

Yeah, you have to be patient. Nanci (my fiancee) isn't really into snakes or any reptiles for that matter. She finally let me get Hissy cuz she was sick of hearin my whine about wantin a snake! LOL!! But, she IS an animal lover. She doesn't hate snakes.

Anyhow, once she saw me interacting with Hissy, she finally started to realize that it aint so bad to have a snake in the house. She just got used to her being there. Now, even though she won't come right out & admit it, she likes to have Hissy here & even likes to hold her. So, with some time & A LOT of patience, your girl will prolly come around.
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

My wife was the same way about snakes. She didn't want anything to do with them. Now she loves them as much as I do. It just took some time for her to get use to the idea.
