Don't just put the eggs in the incubator the way you find them. Mom generally does a good job of keeping them positioned so the yolk is on the bottom, but obviously not always. Candle the eggs first before putting them in the incubator. Mark the top where the veins are clearly visible. Where the yolk is will always be darker when candling and you won't see any veins
Thank you for the information. It was her first clutch and the eggs were all over her tub, she was wrapped around three of them in the back only. Wish we had known about the veins/yolk positioning.
