I've been searching for a Nuclear het. Pied female for a while now. Mike definitely has some of my favorite Nuclears. Just wish they were het. Pied...
Problem is that a Butter/Lesser Pied is all white. You could in no fashion tell if there was Fire in it until you proved it out. Likely why you are not finding one.

If someone was to breed a Nuclear to a Pied, I'd get my Nuclear het. Pied.

If I understand you correctly, what you're saying is if there was a Nuclear Pied it would be a completely white snake even though Butter and Fire are both co-doms? So the Fire gene wouldn't be expressed? I'm a little confused.

Nuclear Het Pied would look just like a Nuclear. You would not see any Pied markers on the belly since both Butters and Fires have clear bellies.

Yes- Butter/Lesser Pied would be an all white snake. That is just how the genes express themselves in the Pied form. Fire gene would not be expressed in a Nuclear Pied.

It is just like when a BEL is produced.... There may be more genes at play depending on the breeding, but they would not be expressed.

Got it. I appreciate the explanation.

My Pastave Pied project apparently will also give me a completely white animal so that should be interesting.

A Mojave Pied is not all white, and neither is a Pastel Pied. I would think you would see some good results there.

1.0 Mojave Pied on the way

I was looking for this thread last night. Finally did a search and found it. Hit up John by PM if you want more info on Lesser/Butter Pieds.
