I don't breed yet but when/if I do, my main concern will be my collections well being over making a few bucks and since if I do breed, it will be for morphs I like and maybe want to add to my collection over turning a buck.
I meant in general how do people buy "ready to breed" as I've seen a lot sold this way. my new additions are only about 100 grams each but I thank you for your concern if that's what that was

I quarantine for 3 months and I buy from reputable breeders (I did not say big names) if I was to pickup animals from craigslist which I would never do that would be a whole other deal.
Once the 3 months have passed the animals are place in the main snake room however there is another 30 days before they are being paired (if breeder size) to any of my animals.
So 6 days? Yep that not a quarantine think that mites cycle only which can carry diseases is 30 days.
How important is quarantining versus being in a rush to breed http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...d.php?t=220629

In my case, I'm just hoping the female's still receptive at the end of her QT.
If I had it my way the breeder (she was a holdback from a couple years prior) wouldn't have brumated prior to selling bc that put her most receptive time during QT, but genetically speaking she filled a gap in a breeding project I've been working on for about five years that was derailed by the death of my female last year, so we went with it even though she may not actually breed till next year.
idk if BPs are more or less finicky than garters though. From what I'm reading it seems like they may be. idk if you have to do anything (similar to brumating colubrids) to get them in the mood.

Not in any rush to breed and not consolidating all my snake in one tub after 6 days. Like I said I'm gonna read cause the posts here are not my final dission making factor in anything.
I don't breed and don't understand if you like to find my posts cause you think I'm competition to you but I'm doing this with my two young daughters for cool pets. I just got two more snakes and realy considered putting water under the bridge and send my business your way be the bigger person and give you a chance. Sooo glad I didnt

Huh? That was helping in the most basic way. Take off your victim glasses and read it again. There is literally nothing there that implies what you responded so offensively to.

I've seen many snakes advertised as such. Sold? Not so much.

This is why I avoid "collection sales" and "getting out of the hobby" ads. The seller could be telling the truth, or he could be trying to dump everything and run before it starts blowing snot bubbles.
