    Scale Rot?

    Hi everyone.
I was handling my BP today and i noticed this odd-looking scale on his belly. Could this be the beginning of scale rot?
His humidity is around 40-50% and i use newspaper as his substrate.
Would a betadine soak help him or should I take him to the vet? If it is the former, what is the ratio of betadine to water?
His belly is a bit pink because I believe is his about to go into shed.

    thanks in advance

That could be the beginning of a little bacterial infection, could just be a weird scale IMO. For a betadine soak you dilute the betadine to a weak tea color. But for this case, since you're only looking at one scale I'd just swab it with some diluted betadine on a Qtip. Couldn't hurt anything and it's less stressful than a soak.

    ok, thanks.
I'll clean his cage and change his substrate while I'm at it.
