how often are they supposed to poo?
When I first got my pastel g stripe, calico ball python and Columbian boa, pooped every week. No set day, they just went.
Now is been almost a month since I've seen a solid poop. Just pee but no poo. Should I be concerned?
They keep eating like Champs. I feed the calico and the boa a fuzzy every five days and the g stripe a small rat every ten days. The g stripe looks like he's going to burst, but he's looked like that for a week now.
does their metabolism slow down even when you dont lower Temps? (I'm keeping them at 88-90 at the hot spot, and 80 ambient)
Should I worry or am I over reacting?

I wouldn't be concerned. BPs, generally speaking, have a slower-working metabolism than other pythons. They'll go when they need to go.

Re: how often are they supposed to poo?
I'm a little worried about this too. I know this is an older post so maybe you can help me out
I've had my BP for 9 days; he's been fed 2x (yesterday was his latest meal) & no signs of any poop/urine at all. I'm hoping maybe he's just using his meals to put on some weight & might not need to go. He looks healthy, but maybe underweight for his age. He hatched 10/28/14 & his weight at shipping time was 140g, which seems a little low for almost 7 mths old.Haven't weighed him yet, but a scale is on th way. What do you think?

He's fine! Young ball pythons are very efficient at digesting their food. Growing takes a lot of energy and they can eat many meals before building up enough waste to eliminate. They can sometimes go a few weeks without poo.
They also grow at different rates....some are just slower and more petite than others. A picture and some info on exactly what you're feeding and how often would give us a better idea on whether or not he's at a healthy weight.

If they're really swollen and hard just above the cloaca. If that were the case, allowing them to swim (fully supervised) in a small tub of 80 degree water may help them to pass it.

Re: how often are they supposed to poo?

Here he is (Reggie). The 2 meals he's had from me was a f/t small mouse & yesterday's meal was a f/t medium mouse. I didn't want him to wait too long for food so I went to PetSmart for th mice until my rats got delivered (they came today; I got him rat fuzzies & rat pups)

Thank you very much! He's a sweety! When I took that pic last night, that was the 1st time I really handled him longer than 3-4 mins since I've had him. It was fun
