    Caught in the act!!!

My snake is hilarious. I have had her for about 4 months and she is just recently comfortable in her cage and around me. But she doesn't like me seeing her roaming around her cage. I will often find her at the opening of her hide looking right at me while I'm messing around on my computer. If I spend around half an hour without looking over, she will come out slowly. But as soon as I look over she will pull back into her hide. I find it hilarious. Does anyone else's do this?
Im just throwing around my opinions. Im trying to give as much help as I've received on this website

Yeah my snakes do this too. But my boa seems to do it the most. She likes to watch but not be watched! Lol

Mine likes to watch me play games. Since his favorite hide's opening is pointed away from the viewable side of my terrarium, he twists his head around and places it on top of his hide, so all I see is his little head.

Mine is at the foot of my bed on a bookshelf, and he does the same at night. I'll wake up and lean over to turn off the electric heater that I use to bump up ambient temperatures. I'll look up and come face to face with an adorable little face looking right at me flicking his tongue.

    Oh yeah!

She loves watching! But many times will freeze as soon as I watch.

But if you think about it, it is a survival instinct.

They think they are camo-ed out, so if you are an enemy and if they freeze, they are safe.

I wonder if I turned my snakes hide away if he'd do this

Mine likes to sit in his cave hide and creep his front end out once in a while, if I go over there he will wrench his head straight back in though.

    Red face

Marble will usually watch me from her hide. If she's out, she likes to climb my glasses and perch there to watch me text. It is difficult to see my phone when she does this, so texting takes longer, which she apparently likes. She was introduced to the mirror today, while I brushed my teeth. She knew my reflection easily enough, but her own reflection was an entirely new snake which she spent ten minutes sniffing and trying to touch. She loved it.
