Dimmers vs thermostats?

I know thermostats are way better and much safer but just curious if anyone around here uses dimmers

I used to use dimmers before my rack setup and they worked fine. Just use an accurate and a temp gun to monitor it and you should be fine.

That being said, I feel much safer now using a thermostat but i still check temps occasionally with the temp gun.
