Reptile spray has worked wonders for me as well. It's safe to use on the animals themselves, as well as on their enclosure and on the carpet around. When I got mites I threw out all the old bedding, wiped everything down with lysol, then with water, then let it dry. Put in white paper towels, sprayed them with reptile spray, and sprayed the soaked and cleaned hides with reptile spray. Soaked each snake in water, wiped them down with a towel, and then wiped them down with reptile spray. I wiped down the shelves on my racks as well. If you have a rack, don't forget to wipe it down too and not just the tubs! That stuff works wonders if you are diligent.
