    Heat pad directly on shelf

    Hey everyone,
    I'm currently trying to set up a tub for my very first ball python and was wondering if I could stick my heat pad directly on the shelf
    I'll post some pictures and if you have any info I would love to hear it

    Not currently but it's almost here and will be up and running before the UTH is on

    Ok that's good to hear!

    Yes that is a fine place to have the UTH I believe, just make sure to get all the temps sorted and properly monitored before placing your BP in there!

    What do you have to measure temps and humidity? Digital or Dial?

    You could put the T-stat probe in between the mat and tub and use some Aluminium foil tape to keep everything in place.

    Thank you very much and I have a digital one that measures 2 temps and humidity
    would I use the tape to secure the pad also?
    Or just the probe

    This is how I had my old tub set up (which I no longer use) my finger is pointing where I WOULD HAVE had the T-stat prove

    Thanks man but I was talking about the distance from the tub to the shelf to allow circulation?
    thats actually where I was getting all the ideas from lol

    I had some little Velcro circle pads that lifted the tub up a few inches from the shelf they where little adhesive circles no idea what they are called I stuck them to each Corner
