Oh that's a great idea! I didn't think about putting a heat mat under his hide. I'm seriously going to try everything guys. So keep shooting ideas lol.

Just make sure you connect it to a thermostat, I've also heard of people putting down flour so that you can see if the snake has moved through the flour.. Then you'd have an idea of what room/place he is in.
