Cool side vs digesting
Ok so I've done had my bp for over 2 weeks now and he always stay in the cool side hide. I fed him on Saturday and it looks like he still has a slight lump in his stomach. I guess my question is, if they don't get the underbody heat does digestion take longer and is that good or bad thing. I do have identical hides and uth on the hot side which he's never been in.

Are you regulating the UTH with a thermostat? What is the surface temperature of the enclosure over the UTH, as measured with a temp gun or IR thermometer?

With my temp gun it's 91 and it is controlled by a herpstat. He's never even been in the hide to check it out. The first week I had him he didn't go in any hide. I'm just worried about the digestion with no underbody heat.

They don't utilize underbody heat to digest. They are nocturnal animals that utilize warm dens....not necessarily hot spots.

That's the first time I have heard snakes don't use underbody heat to digest.
1.0 Cinnamon Het Pied
1.0 Ambilobe Panther Chameleon
1.0 Normal Leopard Gecko

Do any of those sources reference natural history and behavior?
Or are they just someone's opinion?
