Just a heads-up for you on that thermometer. I'd get rid of it completely and pick up an infrared hand-held one for yourself (ZooMed makes one you can find at most pet stores). The second that stick-on one falls off from him messing with it you have a very dangerous situation on your hands with the exposed sticky side.
