Yea, its not as hard as it sounds.

During a deep clean I place them in a tub with about a inch of water to let them soak up some water in the pot. I then rinse and wash the leaves and place them back in the cage when Im ready.

I get them from my local Petco and they are in a little pot with a sponge like material. The pot is slotted and the roots grow out into the substrate. A few times I have removed them from the pots and either way works but leaving them in the pot seems to help them sit in the substrate better especially when the snake decides to root around.
