    On the mend

I'm very excited that Sapmson (nearlyull grown BP) has just had his first 'good' shed. I have posted a few times for help getting him set up, as he was in bad shape when I got him (a truly nasty belly burn, and being very under fed being the worst of it) This is his second shed since we got him and the first was vey patchy. This one his entire back came off in 1 peice and with out any real help, his tummy came off perfectly to the first of the old mostly healed burns. I had to help him a bit there as the old shed here was a drier, britteler texture that he had issues with, but it mostly came off together. There is stll about 8 inches at his tail where the skin is raw, but it's clean and not oozy. Although it did scab up just prior to the shed. Not sure if that has to do with the sheding process or if he just opened something up, he was a very active boy the weekbefoe he started shedding. He needed some real help (and warm-ish water) getting that section off and it was definatly a hard feeling shed. Getting the cap off his tail was not very nice though as there was a lot of scab. Still, he is a trooper and after an hour or 2 of hiding he decided to crawl out o home and eat a nice fat juicy mouse. I think today is a good day tobe a sampson

Things are looking up. Good to know that he's in good hands now.
