    royal python has skin problems

    Hello, I'm mew to the forum and my male Royal Python has just shed and some of its scales have turned white and it seems he has some scrape looking red marks down his spine and i was wondering if anyone could help with this ?? Also how do you upload photos so i can show you it.

    You'll have to host your pics on another site then use the insert image button to display them in a post. Also, describing your set up can help members determine what's causing the problem and how to fix it.

    Thank you very much for the help on that one.

    The vivarium is a vivexotic with aspen bedding the heating is a ceramic bulb set at 30 degrees during the day with a guard where he cant get to the heater. also has two beds logs and a water bowl in the colder side of the viv

    Whoa! Those look like burns. Are you sure he can't get to the heater?

    I'd soak him in a weak iodine/betadine solution and then put silvadene ointment on it.

    No never got him like this. I took him to the vets about 2 weeks ago and he said wait till he sheds which he now has done and this is what it looks like after shed. So over all I would say about 3 weeks it's been like this. Yeah he can't get to the heater
