    Eating during shedding

    Hello everyone,
I have a baby BP that I got about two weeks ago. When I first got him they said he ate two days prior, I was going to feed him 4 days ago but his eyes were gray and I read somewhere that he might not eat since he can't see. He had not shed yet but his eyes is back clear. Is it ok to feed him while he is still in this process?

Are you sure he hasn't shed yet? I personally wait until mine is done shedding completely to feed him, I read they don't digest right if you feed them while they're shedding, but that might be a myth

    Re: Eating during shedding

If he's cleared up after going "blue" he'll shed any day now. All of my snakes eat during shed but I know some snakes don't. I'd try feeding him and at least you'll know going forward whether yours will eat during shed or not. It can't hurt to try and it can't hurt to wait a few more days. Best wishes.

Give him a few days, and he will shed...And they digest food just fine when they are in shed, but some will, and some won't eat during a shed...
