Styrofoam
Has anybody built an enclosure out of Styrofoam ??
I work in construction, and we use 4'x8'x2" sheets of Styrofoam to insulate foundations.
I thought it would be a great material for building an enclosure for a snake. It is really strong. We use leftover
scraps of it to make knee boards for finishing concrete, and it easily supports the weight of a 250lb guy without breaking.
It has excellent insulation properties, so would hold in heat and humidity. Is light weight, and water resistant.
Easy to cut with a razor blade, and could be screwed, or glued together .
I am thinking about building a stack of cages out of this, mounted in a 2x4 wooden frame.
Probably cut out a section of the floor, and recess in a piece of acrylic, or plexiglass, to mount my flexwatt on,
the same as I have done in wooden enclosures that I have built.
So has anybody used this material for cages before ??
